Whistling Sound

  Recently the left ch 211 amp had slight and short whistling sound. Anyone know what would that be ? tube ?

i did some on line searching; seems it's not all that unusual.  could be a tube, but could also be a filter cap.  which the general consensus is don't mess w/the caps yourself - lethal voltages there.  you could check tubes by gently tapping them, and/or removing and replacing them.  you could try swapping the l/r channel tubes.  i'm assuming the noise is coming from the speaker...

  Removed tubed cleaned contacts on tube and Amp. Gone.  Thanks.
