Link Wray is probably most responsible for rock guitar evolving into what it would eventually become.  More top rock guitarists cite him as an influence than any other player.  More than Chuck Berry, more than Jimi Hendrix, more than Page, more than Clapton, more than anyone.  This double LP from Sundazed gathers all of Link Wray's singles on Swan.  These are lo-fi, garage rock recordings so they won't be something to show off your zillion dollar speaker system.  But it is awesome rock and roll that no self respecting rock fan should be without.  Highly recommended.

About Linn Classical, my wife said "You gotta lose this music, I can't take it anymore!"

So now it's Latin Jazz Orchestra station on Pandora.

Sure do.  :D

Did you pick up the SACD Hybrid or the straight up CD?

How was the software selection at the show? From what I saw on the vendor list it didn't look like there were very many music dealers going to be there.

I remember during the last Stereophile show at the Penta Hotel there was a big problem with the state and tales tax. The show itself had a sales tax number and all of the vendors were working under the assumption that any taxes owed for sales made at the should could be paid through that central number. On Friday afternoon the state tax department showed up and went from room to room demanding that every vendor open up either open up their own tax account with NYS or stop selling any goods at the show. Since they would not be doing any retail sales in NYS outside of the three days of that show most of the vendors wanted no part of the accounting work that would be involved in having their own NYS Tax number. As a result there were numerous rooms that had small odds and ends like tweaks, cables, CDs etc. that they brought to sell but couldn't.

Thanks for the tip. They didn't have this particular album, but I was able to order a different Link Wray greatest hits collection from the library.

Looking forward to hearing it.

Vinyl 180g LP, baby, from Chesky Records! No CD or SACD!!! Paid cash, no sales tax. Sounds great!

Quite a bit of hi-end CD, SACD's & Vinyl; not as much as the last Stereophile show at the Hilton...

Listening to this to calm my nerves/derive energy as I try to assemble tonearm & headshell weight & Shelter 501 cart.

You need 3 hands to do this, and none of them should have fingers as fat as mine.  :duh
