Diana Krall,  "Love Scenes"
A friend gave me a newer 2016 audiophile pressing.  2 lp's at 33 1/3.
Great sound.  I like her sound, but....  after a few songs is all just sounds the same.   I was listening to "They Can't Take That Away from Me" and thinking how dull it was compared to Tony Bennett's version.
But the bass by Christian McBride is stunningly good.

I agree about listening to Diana Krall.  I like her in small doses.  I much prefer Jane Monheit.

I've done that with a Rachmaninoff prelude... Richter, Horowitz, Gilels

Today, it's Miles Davis and "Kind of Blue".
I ripped a power lead out of my Folsom amp, repaired it, broke another wire internally, repaired it.  I wanted something I knew well.
    Miles Davis – trumpet
Julian "Cannonball" Adderley – alto saxophone except on "Blue in Green" and bonus disc track "So What"
    John Coltrane – tenor saxophone
Bill Evans – piano except on "Freddie Freeloader" and bonus disc track "So What"
Wynton Kelly – piano on "Freddie Freeloader" and bonus disc track "So What"
    Paul Chambers – double bass
    Jimmy Cobb – drums
Wow.  Miles, Trane, Cannonball, Evans, Kelly, Chambers, and Cobb.....   Holy shit.  Most of the guys are Hall of Fame.

Bill Evans and Jim Hall
"Undercurrents"  MFSL
This is great music that was recorded with some issues... and the MFSL didn't improve on them.  Still, the vinyl is quiet, just a few areas perhaps recorded too hot originally.

Art Pepper "+ Eleven"
A 1959 mono pressing on Contemporary Records.
My wife is visiting sisters and mother, and I've been binging "Bosch".  Art Pepper was on his system, and I needed to scratch that itch

Collaboration-   The Modern Jazz Quartet with Laurindo Almeida
On  Atlantic 1429, a 1964 pressing.
Just got this today, a first pressing of a special run by MGM.
Got to say, it has a really nice version of the adagio in Concierto de Aranjuez.  Almeida's classical guitar melded with Milt Jackson on the vibraharp is an interesting (perhaps odd) combo.

Beatles Mono Masters
A three LP set of songs mastered and released in mono.  Released in 2014.

Loaned to me for review... Quiet vinyl, classic pop sound, vocals clear, bass driven.  Wish they'd put the guitars more forward.  Drums a bit muffled, Paul's bass loud and a bit loose.
This stuff is fun to listen to, but not what I'd call audiophile.  Enjoy it for what it is.

It's unclear to me at this point what the difference between this thread and the what are you listening to now thread is.

Given the title, I thought that this thread was supposed to include *why* you're listening to what it is you're listening to. :)

Best.

I usually list a reason or at least a comment about the music.  I started this thread some time ago because I felt just a list of what you listened to doesn't hold as much value...at least IMHO.

"Blues in the Closet" on the BayBridge label (Japanese label and pressing)
The Master Trio-- Tommy Flanagan, Ron Carter, and Tony Williams

This was a gift from a friend that had two copies. Wow, these guys go together so smooth for a "hard" bop album.  I've always liked Tommy Flanagan, but really haven't search out his work. That will change.

And as always, Japanese pressings are soooo well done.

Fair enough, Scott.

Should the functionality exist, we can petition the moderator/admin to join the threads.

In my case, I'll continue to post in the what are you listening to now thread , only because in  most instances I have no particular reason as to why.
