FS: Tivo HD box with upgraded WD Green 1TB hard drive
« on: July 11, 2011, 04:31:35 PM »
I bought the Tivo HD ~4-5 years ago when I was doing nothing but Time Warner cable and OTA antenna reception.  I paid for a 3 year subscription to the service and used it pretty religiously during that timeframe.  I must admit, I *love* the Tivo interface after they made a few additions during my subscription timeframe.  Unfortunately, they didn't offer the "lifetime subscription service" at the time I bought the box... that came around a year later and I wasn't about to cough up even more money...  I've since moved and am now going back and forth between Dish Network and Direct TV... so once the prepaid 3 year Tivo service contract was up, I just let the thing go and haven't used it in a couple years.  it was sitting in my closet for the last little while.  For anyone that wants the Tivo service, I believe they can use this box.

I still have the original 160GB hard drive that came with the box.  I can re-install that for you if you wish.  I don't think I left that hard drive in there for very long.  I very quickly used the tools available online to swap out the hard drive for a 1TB Western Digital Green drive... it was actually quieter than the stock hard drive and you get ~150 hours of HD recording I believe....

No idea what these things are worth these days.  Make me an offer.

Original box, manual, packing, remote, etc. etc.

Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Paypal (verified account with confirmed address only), USPS Money order, and personal check accepted for continental USA residents.  Direct bank to bank transfer is the only method of payment accepted for international purchases.  My apologies for any inconvenience that may cause.
