In what seems to be my never ending quest to find the best digital components and computer related audio gear out there, I'm pleased to announce that Black Sand Audio is now carrying the complete Kanto AV line.

iPair5 & SYD5 in stock now!.

I have been looking for an active speaker line for sometime now to compliment what I already do with Genelec. I needed something that sounds excellent but doesn't come with the Genelec price tag. I have gone through most of what is out there (Audioengine, M-Audio and a few others) and have finally decided on Kanto.

If anybody is looking for a pair of active speakers, you owe it to yourself to have a listen to these as they are very, very good and are not overly expensive.

I bought a pair of M Audio's AV30's.. They're "OK".  For $100 they're very OK.. but I do wish for better.  They're kind of dry-sounding... I'd like a little more 'lush' and dynamic sounding.  I have to do a lot of EQ'ing to get them to sound realistic for music.  They do have good detail and punch in the midbass and midrange.

I'd be interested in comparing these.. maybe one day when I see a good deal.

I really enjoy listening to music.
