I have a mix of WW, DH Labs, TWL, and PS Audio. Most are lower end cords with the exception of the TWL.
-
TWL.
I have a couple of Pangeas in non-critical spots: one where a better cord wouldn't make a difference and one where it makes a minor difference. At some point I'll upgrade the latter to another TWL. Best deal in audio.

100% TWL. 8)

Is there anything else? :thumb:

I have Paul Kaplan's Waveform Fidelity HE Mk III/SRC on all of my front end components including the custom Felix power filter feeding them. The power amp and the high current Felix power filter feeding it have Waveform Fidelity HE MK III power cords on them.
These power cords are one of the best improvements I have ever made to my system, easily equal to a source component upgrade.

I kind of like the idea of having different cords, for comparison. I like to see what each cord does and determine how much that particular cord improves/degrades sound.
-
I have a bunch. :)
TWL, naturally.

I still use Black Sands Silver Reference V PCs that I bought on Audionervosa group buy way back when.
When/if I ever expand the system I'll buy JPS. I like the slam, clarity and quiet.
-
Jps seems interesting but expensive.
-
They have budget price wires too.

Are they like the budget priced Maseratis?

The cheapest used one I could find was $800. I did see oyaide, crystal clear and some others in a more moderate price range

You could always DIY some. The wire itself does make a difference, but gauge seems to be the most important property there. IMO much of the real difference in PC's is in the connectors.
Search the various forums and you will find oodles of posts about DIY formula and other brands.

Yes. apparently the OCC Neotech is supposed to be good (as well as the Furutech. Also the Oyaide connectors. I think that in the end it will cost me as much or more to make than to but. The connectors are about $100 each and the wire is also about $100 so thats at least $300. In fact the Oyaide cable that uses the good connectors and wire is $299

New prices $200-1700 for 2 meters, but the sweet spot are PAC Lite and Digital AC-X, both $400.

I have no relationship to them, don't even know a dealer.

.... but I know you are just a purple kind of guy.
I understand the feeling. When you find something that works for you, you just go with it. I feel the same way about the TWL cords.
-
I'm all TWL these days (Plus versions plus Digital American).
I once had a number of JPS PCs which I did, indeed, like a lot. Just seemed that the TWL were every bit as good for a more reasonable price. YMMV.

I'm in the budget world of Power cords. My favorite PC that started it all the was the My Audio Cables HC that I put on my CDP and later my PS3. Now I have a hodge podge of cables. Shunyata Venom 3 on my Red Dragon M1000 monobocks. Mapleshade HC power cord on Bottlehead BeePre. 3 power cords I got from Bill at Response Audio for all the rest of my gear. This combo works for me but my preference would be for power cables from all the same manufacturer. That is just me. I want an entire loom of TWL cords for all my gear but can't justify it for my system.
-
For me all TWL. A combination of plus and non plus cords with different guages. Meaning crystal and no crystal. All deep cryo treated.
One size does not fit all. One needs to experiment. A 7+ does not sound the same for digital as the Digital American. The 7+ works for the power conditioner but not the class"D" amps.
EXPERIMENT my little Chickadees.

Thanks, Rich. It's been quite a journey to get to this point.

Let's hear all about your journey, Nick! In a new thread?

ALL...most, all TWL cords. Like most everyone else, different gauges (7, 8 and 10) in different places. Most are +, not all. I have the very latest Pangea on my CD player right now. Eventually I'll get a TWL for the CD player as well... or put the TWL that's on my DAC on my CDP and buy an up-model TWL for the DAC where I think it will make a better impact.
Pete's TWL cords are some of the best out there regardless of price. He's also not too bad a guy himself!   (I had to give him a little "dig"for the fun of it because he never hesitates to give them to me!) Just don't let him fool you with techno-talk. The reason his cords sound so good is because he has his beautiful wife and daughters braining wire for him! 8)

My Kubala-Sosna Emotion PC's on the duel Butler 3150 tube hybrid amps are my favorite PC's over anything I've tried, be it years ago. My only regret is not being able to afford going higher up the Kubala food chain to their Elation!.
Cheers,
Robin

TWL all the way! HP Digital Americans on Hypex amps, Digital Americans on DAC and CD transport, 10 Plus on pre, 7 Plus on UberBuss.

I have both in different places. If I had to pick one, I'd stay with the TWL

I picked up a couple of these in 5 foot and I have to tell you, build quality is second to none and over the years I've had a lot of power cords in house.
Highest recommendation I can give, 5 stars, 10 out of 10.

The Cullen Gold Series, affordable, Patrick is also a great guy to work with.
I just ordered another 6 cords for an upstairs system, so that should tell you something.
Fantastic cables! Sound wonderful.
