Title: Lovingly Delightful Interconnects.
Post by: Bill O'Connell on February 08, 2013, 10:43:56 AM
If you have a system where the sound is just a little glaring these IC's are the ticket.
One of my engineering buddies makes these.
Beautiful professionally built.
 Have a wonderful analog presentation.
Guys, I can't recommend these enough, they are very special.

$150 1 meter pair RCA's.
I'm sending a pair to LoneWolf today to try and give his opinion.
Balanced available also $320 1 meter, twice the wire used with the cost of the XLR's being the reason.
These cables used in conjunction with his Digital 75 ohm 4 foot
$100 or AES/EBU 110 ohm digital 4 foot XLR $240 are a perfect blend together.
I stake my reputation on these so if valued, give them a try. I'll even offer a 30 day return policy if not delighted.

 Thanks,
 Bill

Sorry for the stupid questions but here goes.

How much break-in do the cables require before they completely settle in? I know this can be a touchy subject but the reason I ask is I've gone through breaking in Morrow and Anti-Cable and it was quite a chore.

Where are they best suited to be situated in the signal chain?

Do you have any other pictures or details you could share about the cables?

Thanks

And could they be made in a 3m(RCA) length?
Are they shielded? Geometry?
Any details would be appreciated.

TIA

Just a little info on these cables.

Conductors: silver plated, but don't let that scare you off, these have a warm inviting presentation to them.

Insulation: Teflon

Well shielded

Capacitance: 30pf per foot, 97pf/meter

Yes, any length is possible. 3 meter(RCA)pair $360, $150 first meter pair,$30 per foot after that per pair RCA's.
I rounded up to 7 foot extra although the extra 2M is really6.6ft. everybody can always use an extra 6 inches

He usually runs pink noise into the cables for a day or two and I have found them to sound fine after a few hours use so really no burn in time to speak of.

 Thanks for considering,
Bill

Chris,
 Thanks for posting the pictures.
I quick note on the Morningstar Blues.

These have a laid back 15th row presentation and while not possessing the clarity of an all silver IC with sparkling highs, the blend of using the all silver Digital 75 ohm or silver 110 ohm AES/EBU digital cable blend together wonderfully. The silver digitals seem to make up for the analog/laid back tone of the M Blues.
This is a stellar combination if your system is a bit forward sounding as mine can be or was :thumb: using my big horns.

This is why I offered the 30 day money back guarantee. what is right for my system might not be true for yours as we all know.
I really enjoy these in my system. They don't assault my ears, they just play music the way I like it.
Please let me know if interested.
 Thanks,
 Bill

Morningstar Blues Interconnects (one pair)

About a month ago I received a PM from Bill asking if I'd like to listen to some interconnects that he's currently representing.

He mentioned an engineering buddy built them for his system, and wanted to know what I thought of the cables.

So....I said ..."yeah,why not". Just send one pair of IC's....which I'll set up between an amp and a Cd player.

I've found...simplest way for ME to hear what a cable would "sound like" is to do it this way...YMMV.

His note stated..."They are on the warm side of neutral with a lovely analog presentation".

And...I'd agree.

1st.....build quality is very good for a cable in this price range. Their light in weight...and they look good.
There are directional arrows on them....and the RCA plugs fit well.

2nd. ...Sound wise...very good bass and mids...with a recessed treble. A bit organic...mellow...smooth.

3rd....Sometimes...I think of cables as "tone controls"...these might be one of those times. If your system sounds a bit bright....these will tone it down...a bit.
You'll still "hear it all"...but they will smooth it out for you...and you won't "run for cover"....

I think it's a fine product to offer....and well priced. Speaking of price, this is what Bill wrote...

Quote
I'm selling them for $150 meter pair,$30 per foot after the first meter.RCA's

Balanced are $320 per meter pair,$60 per foot after the first meter,XLR's

In combination with the Digital cable,4 foot, $100, RCA,75ohm or
Digital AES/EBU 110ohm XLR 4 foot $240.

So...if your seeking something in what I'd call a reasonable budget price...I'd check them out....best way to know if they will work for you...and they have a 30 day money back guarantee. 8)

Amps: Butler 2250 (hybrid), AKSA 100N+(SS)

Cd Player: Modded Phillips CD-80 (with volume control)

Speakers: SP Tech TP2, SP Tech Mini's

Speaker Cable:Tara Labs, Ridge Street Audio

Thanks again Bill...it was fun...
