Maestro AC Outlet

90 bucks. Why not?

Well I'll be damned. This made an audible difference for the better!

Quieter background. Tighter bass. Smoother, more musical presentation.

Power of suggestion? Dunno. I can remove it and reinstall the heavy duty looking Levitan outlet I had but that's a pain in the ass. I'm enjoying what I'm hearing even if it is.

I can believe that it made an improvement, especially if the previous outlet / plug connection was loose.

Many favorable reports about Maestro outlets (subjective anecdotal evidence if you will) can be found on other forums.

Best of luck with them (or it if only one). :)

Yes they can make a difference. PIAudio makes a VG one. Furutech though is my favorite. The VooDoo all copper is VG as well.

I also believe in the power of the outlet. PI Dave was good enough to send me one a while back and Tmazz summed it up nicely… I don’t know if I’d believe it if I hadn’t heard it with my own ears.

Yes PIAudio one is VG. Similar to Rhodium. A neutral presentation. Furutech Gold over copper is warm, all Copper a tad bright. I have compared each of them to each other in a Digibuss. Furutech describes them on their site.

Several years ago at AC, member Big Red Machine built a multi outlet device with multiple parallel high end outlets and sent it out on tour.  They each clearly sounded different.  The Maestro was my favorite.

Hi S Clark. That reads like a really kewl idea! A question about that, if you don't mind. The multi-outlet device with parallel high-end outlets had to have been plugged into an outlet of some type. In your opinion is it possible (I imagine at least conceivable) that the outlet it was plugged into could somehow have influenced the characteristics of other outlets? This would be akin to plugging different amplifiers into the same preamplifier and then observing if any differences. No?

I've read nothing but good things about Maestro outlets.  :thumb: But suppose the multi-outlet device with parallel high-end outlets was itself plugged into a Maestro outlet. You get (read) my point.

Rhodium is a bitch to break in. Takes 500 hours to stop the hardness. Dave of PIAudio and I almost gave up after 300 hours. Very open big stage but Hi Fi sounding not musical IMHO.

Rhodium isn't for me. It's thin and weird sounding.

I like what Dave does, polishing.

Has its advantages in transparency and openness but not musical.
