Bluetooth Issues

James Edward:
I purchased the Audioengine bt piece in 2017. It is most likely what you said about firmware. I'll contact Audioengine.

James Edward:
Now I'm reading that a number of people have issues with apple products and this piece. I'll update with my findings. Over and out.

dflee:
Hope you get it figured out.
Please keep us posted.

My Roon has been down for 4-5 days...I feel your pain....

James Edward:
No resolution to the issue at hand to report, but I've discovered a workaround that is even better. I use the Bluesound Node 2i as a streamer, and did not realize that it is also a bluetooth receiver. I always just figured it could be used as a bluetooth headphone output 'jack'.
After a little reading and surmising, I now have a slightly 'cleaner' solution. One less power supply and cord from the separate bt receiver means one less potential bit of interference.
I know having Tidal means I don't necessarily need to use iTunes much, but some things in my iTunes library are simply not available otherwise (and vice versa). Having bluetooth working is also great for when someone comes over and wants to play dj, etc.
Thanks for the forum and the answers.
