This recording provides a lot of individual instruments, even if for just a short period. Although
not perfect, one should be able to distinguish the various instruments. Example, horn, trombone,
trumpet and other instruments.

Hi Steve, thank you for this...it's a beautiful piece of music... Well recorded both sonically and video wise. To your point about looking for a higher resolution the link you provide is the YouTube default of 480p. You can use the settings to increase it to 1080. But that's just the video piece. I don't think that the audio quality can be increased. Well, not via YouTube anyway. I'll concede the audio is certainly good enough to be very enjoyable.

EDIT: and kudos are in order for the concertmaster first chair violinist.

Yes, the first violinist is very good. I have YT premium which does give a little better musical quality. I don't worry to
much about the video. As mentioned, settings can be set for higher rez.

Too busy to check deezer or Tidal. Over the decades I have been surprised at how many systems cannot
differentiate a trombone from horn etc.

Anyway, love the variety of instruments to check.

Difficult to describe this selection, except to say it is so open, natural, precise, not slurred nor raspy,
but the room acoustics should just "glow" with every note. One should feel they are experiencing the
actual event.

Even though it appears that lower midrange and upper bass are being reproduced, this selection requires
very flat frequency response/phase coherency over a wide frequency range to experience the reality of this event.

Enjoy.

Hi Steve.

Great choice! Mickey Hart, The Gates Of Dafos. I mentioned that in this thread https://www.audionervosa.com/index.php?topic=8689.msg107796#msg107796

If you like, I'll be more than happy to provide you with a rather splendid recording (vinyl remaster 1644, in digital format) of it. In addition to your description, when played at the proper decibel level - which IMO is 90-105 db - the recording has an uncanny way of exciting the environment/room, which can uncover unwanted resonances that should subsequently be fixed/addressed.

Stereo subs, anyone?  :thumb:

As long as on CD, I can pm my address to you if you ok. One reason I like Deezer is that I don't have to
download and add a program like I had to with Tidal. I am still finding remnants of that program.
With deezer, simply sign in, play music.

Here is another I just found and love. What a venue, and sounds great
even through YT. Notice the volume changes near the beginning.

I hope I did not create too much bias in my above post. I have a question and hope any and all will reply
with their thoughts. No wrong or right answer.

Did all the instruments sound ok? Did anything seem even slightly out of sorts?

This next selection can be found on YT, Qobuz, and Deezer. A little different version of Take Five
than what one normally hears. Be sure to read the "show more" section. Recorded 1959.
Pay attention to the cymbals, bass, spaciousness.

This selection is minimalist recorded. All I can say is that I can easily believe I am at the venue.

Nice. I have no doubt the recording would sound even better, much better in fact, if performed and subsequently recorded in a professionally treated and purpose built environment as opposed to the austere San Pedro Chapel.  :thumb:
