Nothing doing.  I'm bringing my inflatable matress and doll, so I'll be comfy and happy.

If you click on Martin's link, there's a lot more info, including a vendor's list and what genres they're selling.

Sooooo...are you there yet? Its 1pm.

Yeap, 25 bucks let you in early for the true collectors, and you get free entrance the rest of the weekend. I usually do that but this year I am only going Friday nite and Sunday.
The 1$ cd table does not get unveiled until 7pm. THis is the radio station own offerings.
Remember this is the annual fundraiser for WFMU, a listener supported radio station. THe only one of its kind on the East coast, free form, no corporate playlists.
In my book its a good cause.

Just came back with a few goodies.
There are some great records there, and plenty of collectors, hence the high prices for the good ones.
Some very nice looking girls there, and mostly odd looking men, very strange crowd.
And I was in it.
Amazing to see people flip thru records so quickly and shoot out records to buy in a heartbeat, then back to flicking, many people seem to know exactly what they are looking for, like a treasure hunt.
I was suprised to see so many 45's there, and people really buying them up at crazy ridiculous prices.
Even bought my wife, Echo and the Bunnymen, on vinyl. cause I love her.

I went with an experienced collector, hoping he would help me pick out a few gems, but he quickly got lost in the "lust of it all", and disappeared for a while, and then we would bump into each other again and compare, then get lost again.

It was fun

Mike
