So I am now redesigning my Open Aire Aktiv's which was a GR Research dual OB Sub and Open baffle topper. The new system will be called 2 plus 2's. I will continue to use the OB subs and the toppers will be a 2 1/2 way vented design. So it becomes a hybrid. The drivers are reused from the previous design and now adding an extra midbass per side below the baffle step. Getting anxious to hear them as I am building them. Its a struggle to want the build to go faster but maintain quality. But I need to stay patient. I'll try to post some build pics.
