Wondered if any of the local NC folks caught this in the N&O over the weekend...
Sounds like a pretty impressive recording studio in the middle of cow country. (http://www.newsobserver.com/2011/05/15/1195997/a-vision-of-sound-symmetry.html) :)

I had not heard of it until now, thanks for the tip. Sounds very nice, especially the natural secluded environment.

We once had an audio meeting at a recording studio. It was one of the best meetings we ever had. The engineer showed us around and explained his job and how different genre's liked different techniques. We then had someone play the guitar and sing while we recorded on both digital and tape. Then the playback and results in both mediums.
Very cool - you should organize a trip for the NC boys if you can. You won't regret it.

Thanks for the link to the blog...
This one posting puts things into perspective (http://blog.miraverse.com/2011/02/19/week-163-commissioning-the-api-vision/#more-4336)...
That sound board is immense... and the room is a work of art... can't begin to fathom the cost of this...
