You might have had a short or something with those biwires. Glad it's working! Now time to boogie!

So Mike, how are they sounding with more time on them? Did you try them in your main rig?

Joe...
I wanted to give my insights a little more time.  I think one if the biggest strengths of this speaker is the continuity.  The tweeter is so well integrated! Like a single source.  Fabulous with techno, jazz, blues. I'm using the Resonnence Concero with these and it's a really neutral and smooth but detailed DAC.  It's very particular to recording quality.
Mid bass is very fast.  Instruments are fully fleshed out and natural sounding and the speakers have great composure.   Bass is good. I'm not really sure how low they really go.  I'm sure a sub might help, but the room is tiny and a sub might overload the room.   Women's voices are spectacular too. I have a solid state amp and might try tubes.  I so love tubes.  ;)
Great imaging in between the speakers. I wouldn't say the sound is huge vertically or horizontally. But depth is very good.  It could be placement, most likely, I'm not very good with the placing. Though I've moved them 20- 30 times. Mini moves.
Its cool ndude.

Glad your enjoying them. For me, the tonality is a one of their best attributes.

Enjoy,
Joe

Yes it has crossover. The crossover is potted, hard wired and uses film caps and over sized inductors. The drivers are time aligned as well.
