Thanks tmazz
for taking time to share with me your experience and views,
that's exactly what I was looking for.
You are my hero !
Of course I will wait until I'm back into civilisation,
yes, I know, that's not nice for the Vietnamese....
That's my twisted sense of humour and it's not about to change.
For the sound bar, I will wait first to see - hear how my new HT sounds.
I also need to by for my wife and me a pair of headphones,
in case we have to listen to different systems.
I am pretty much decided on the Sennheiser HD595cs over the ears closed back,
they are less than 200 USD.
That's it, that's all,
thanks fr the help my hero.

Guy,
You have a good sense of humor  :thumb: Regarding the sound bar, it was some time ago that Charles...aka Rollo...mentioned one that he liked and recommended. Maybe
he’ll advise if he reads this.

Hi Nick.
I will be interested in purchasing a sound bar only if I am not satisfied with
my new set-up, I want to avoid going again in my not so deep pockets.

Guy 13

By the way, I saw on Amazon that sound bar prices varies from 150 to 1,000 USD.
I think, based on my audio common sense, that I should not spend more than 200 $

Hi Guy,
I would tend to agree with you regarding the $200. I have never owned a sound bar and the home theater experience was not important to me or my wife.

Hi Nick and all.
When you browse (Shop) on the Internet looking for TV, DVD or everything but the kitchen sink
the next day or even the same day,
they will show this message :
'' According to your recent search, we suggest the following ''...
Well this morning I got a suggestion for a DVD multi region (Panasonic S70EP-K)
However at 70 USD it's only a 1080P not a 4K.
So I will go with a 4K Bluray at around 400 USD and by the time I'm ready
to buy, it may be 300 USD...
One (Small) thing that I won't get from a DVD or even a Bluray player is a (Front)
headphone jack.
The only one I saw with that feature was the more expensive (Top of the line)
OPPO, but OPPO is no more, too bad.

I think you are way overestimating what you are going to have to pay for the Blu-Ray player. You can get a Sony 4K HDR Blu-Ray player at Best Buy right now for only $200 and the prices will only be going down in the future.

Well, you made me save 100 USD or 130 Cnd $.
Thanks a lot for your suggestion.

Wow, I didn't realize the exchange rate had changed that much.not too long ago is was only about 1.08 to 1. Now the difference is almost a third.

I think it might be time to replace some of my hockey equipment while the exchange rate is so favorable.  8)
