A well recorded chronicle of a concert Baez did in a Spanish bullring in 1988The first half of the album is a mix of her own songs with some well done covers of music by Leonard Cohen, Bob Marley and the Beatles. The second half of the album sis sung entirely in Spanish, pull from her 1974 all Spanish album entitled  Gracias a la Vida

I will have to look up some of his other albums on Qobuz. I was impressed with his technique, but the musical selections on this album just didn't grab me. But I was listening to it mainly as background music while I was doing other things. If this guy has the Dave seal of approval I guess I will have to go back and also give this one a more serious listen.

I've had this (reference quality) cd for ages, but I just found that a vinyl version has been available for a few years. 
Just got my copy yesterday. 
The remaster is good and bad.  Even better vocals than the original, but the bass it too far forward.  Less soundstage depth or width. 
So, ok but not quite what I'd hoped for $40.  Still, great material, great vocals, good pressing. Win, win, draw.

Dvorak: New World Symphony - Kertesz/London Symphony Orchestra

From the Decca Dvorak Complete Symphonies Box Set

A good performance but not the SQ of the Decca recording of the same piece that Kertesz did with the Wiener Philharmoniker, which is my benchmark for The New World.
