THD+N: -108dB (0dbFS)
Output Level: 5Vrms (XLR)
Sample Rates: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192kHz

For the budget minded sounds like a must hear item. Like the chip selection and implementation.

What is the knob for on the new DAC?

Volume Control - traditional knob, but not traditional implementation. The knob itself only tells the DAC what volume level to use, it is all done digitally, the right way (bit-perfect).

Good luck on the project. Your description of a snr of 130db is quite interesting

At this time there is no official tour, I can send you the DAC to try for 1 week, if you agree to ship back to me.

With all the work and running around trying to get the Indiegogo project running, I never had the time to sit down and properly listen to GALA.
Finally got GALA hooked up to my entertainment center, it sound much better than I could have imagined. It's hooked up to a pair of my own custom designed 25W mono-blocks.

I just received word that GALA will be certified under the Arrow Certification Program - http://enterprise.indiegogo.com/arrow/ (http://enterprise.indiegogo.com/arrow/).
This is a big advantage for this project as Arrow's engineers have rigorously reviewed all aspects of the design and confirmed that it either meets or exceeds all current industry standards.

Can you get it single ended?
If not can you supply (sell) addaptors?
I apologize for my ignorance but is this an upsampling dac?

To use GALA with devices that have RCA inputs all you need are XLR to RCA cables. Make sure that the cables have pin 3 floating on the XLR side. Most standard XLR to RCA cables short pin 3 to pin 1 which will not work with GALA. Here is a very good cable:

The DAC does not up sample, it uses what ever you feed it, it supports 16 and 24 bit data at the following sampling rates: 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 172.6 and 192kHz

I have received a lot of feedback that USB would be a feature people would like to see.
Now GALA is available with USB. You will be able to use it as it it had USB built in.
I am packaging it with a USB to S/Pdif converter. It will support upto 24-bit 192kHz. Performance is unaffected.
