Tax Free ~ self titled

The short-lived Tax Free consisted of Wally Tax (vocals), David Oliphanr (guitar), Jody Purpora (vocals, guitar) and Leendert Busch (drums). Tax and Busch had both been members of legendary Dutch band The Outsiders, who'd broken up in mid-1969.

Staying home today to await the delivery of a new washer & dryer, so I have the house to myself and can play something a bit off the wall without hearing "What the hell is that!!!"  :rofl:

The Flaming Lips: With a Little Help From My Fwends



A track for track cover of The Bealtes Sgt Pepper album by psychedelic rock band The Flaming Lips (with guest vocals by Miley Cyrus). Like their cover of DSOTM, it is half past weird, but probably interesting enough for at least one listen to fans of the original works. Worth the effort to drive to the library and borrow it, but I don't think I would be willing to lay out cash for this one.

Interestingly enough, all proceeds from sales of this album will go to The Bella Foundation, an organization in Oklahoma City that helps provide veterinary care to needy pet owners.

According to Wikipedia she was born on 1988 and the two albums came out in '08 and '11, so she was probably 19 and 21 when they were being recorded.
