steve:
Every now and then I receive an email/link to some wonderful video/music. I was thinking we could share our favorite reference audio selections (keep it nice).

I have a few to start off with.

Very nice topic, Steve, thanks!  :thumb:

The great jazz trumpeter Clifford Brown has been my hero since I was 9. This is the only known video of him playing. Recorded in Feb, 1956, at age 25, 5 months before he died in car crash.

Though the show was on the air 1953-1959, and many jazz artists made appearances, Miles Davis appeared 6 times, none of the live performances were recorded except for three. Only this one has ever surfaced, because Soupy Sales himself rediscovered this kinescope video recording in his garage in mid 1990s.

Great stuff!

I have that on a CD, the worst digital mastering I own!  But still worth listening.

Sarah Vaughan has a great voice, broken hearted melody, she shines.

I never got into soprano until Jackie Evancho arrived on the scene. Now I have Maria Callas, Beverly Sills, Tebaldi,
Renee Fleming etc.

Here is another one, Amira, from the Netherlands I believe.
