813 Tube
(http://www.ece.vill.edu/~cdanjo/images/813.jpg)

These are sweet tubes. I purchased a couple of these on sale from Ebay for $40 each! Typically they're around $75 if I remember.

I havn't made anything with them yet- but do have an Asian amp that takes these.

Advantages to using an 813:
1. VERY good sound! Like big triodes? You'll love this! Non-fatiguing and sweet.
2. Much more gain than a large triode. A simplified driver section holds a clear advantage over triode driver circuits, creating the potential for a very good sounding amp.
