Just thought I should let everyone know that we need to finish up by 6 PM as apparently the World Is Ending that day at that time.

Hey guys, I hope this won't be too big a disappointment to everybody, but due to a scheduling issue with an upcoming review we've had to make a slight change to the gear I will be bringing.  The Trinity LCR is still coming, but instead of the Melody AN211, I will be bringing the AN300B.  It's from the same series, carries the same price tag, has the same preamp section, and is generally very similar aside from the output tubes.  It's a push-pull design rather than SET, and it puts out a little more power than the AN211 at 22wpc.  It also has a 5Z8P rectifier instead of a 5U4G.

You can see pictures and additional specs on my website: http://www.eaststreetaudio.com/Products/85-melody-an300b.aspx

Sorry to change it up at the last minute like this, but hopefully you'll all love the AN300B and it won't matter. ;)

You mean we are going to have to listen to 300B tubes?

I should always have problems this big.

Looking forward to it.  :thumb:

Tim,
I'm sure the Trinity's love 300B's... I know for a fact that my Tannoy's shine on 300B SET amplification; it'll be real interesting what push-pulls sound like on the Tannoy's!

Cheers,
Pete

I just heard Pete's new CD player too. It's fantastic... NO digital artifacts ...just a smooth, rich, analog sound that's a great match to his all tube system. OUCH! Nice Pete.

Gents,

I'd like to attend as well.  I know some of the Audio Syndrome group has been to my home and will be welcome again for my summer rave.

I'd like to rsvp a +1.  A friend of mine is coming along to help with load/unload and to make the 10hr drive each way less boring.  This will be his first audio gtg, so it's also a chance to indoctrinate him. :)
