Turntable Rewire
« on: February 20, 2011, 10:53:58 AM »
While trying to figure out a ground problem with my Turntable I realized that when i changed cartridges I must have done some damage to one of the leads. Does anyone in the club rewire TTs, OR can anyone recommend someone for me to take it to? Thanks.

My friend Karl rewires arms.
I would reccommend the Cardas tonearm cable
If you can get to Jersey?

System consists of an amp a preamp, 2 speakers a turntable and a phono preamp, Also some cables and power cords and a really cheap cd player.

I would check with Scott.

He is DA MAN. Leads or TT wiring ? two different things, no ? check the connections again, sometimes the leads are not pushed in all the way or just loose and or dirty.

Charles,

Thanks. Someone else suggested Scott. I have an email into him. The wire from the ground separated from the cartridge clip. I tried soldering it back on the old clip with no success. Not sure I where to get a new clip. If I did I'd try that one more time.
