I'm interested.

I find the negative comments rather odd.

Cool Barry, love to have you. Thanks for the support. We are trying to bring the cost down. The $75 price is an upset number. We are trying to bring it in for less.

Are Syndrome members allowed to bring "outside" guests?  I have a few audio friends in mind (although they're not all local) that might be interested.

Thanks!

Well I've never been to a "Syndrome" meeting before, never mind paid dues, and they seem to think I'm ok ;)

I think the idea is to get all the local audio clubs involved. Also the more the people the better.
It would bestow more honor I believe to be honored with a room full of people than just a select few.
I can seriously imagine 100 to 200 people that we can connect together from 6 degrees of seperation, that might be interested in attending.
NY audiophile society, NJ audiophile society, Audio Syndrone, NYAR, Gotham , and more I am sure.
Get some dealers, industry people, and other reviewers involved and it could get large.
The only requirement for entry should be what the cost of the dinner would be.
Inclusive is the theme, not exclusive 8)
Also the more people we have the lower the costs.
Having been to many raves, I can only imagine what a party it would be with 200+ audiophiles together!
200+  opinions
I wouldn't miss it!
I nominate BobM as treasurer :thumb:

Mike,
I think some of us were just having a little fun yanking Barry around a bit (hey, he started it.) All in good fun. But IMO I think you have the basic idea of the thing. The more the merrier. 200+ would be nice but may not be practical depending on where  we end up holding it. I think that was part of the reason that Rollo started this thread, to try ad gauge what kind of interest there was in this idea so we can get a better handle on what kind of place we will need to look for.

Hope to see you there!  :thumb:
