Hi,
My name is Itamar.
I'm from Israel.
I heard in the last year expensive speakers (5K-15K) and got amazed, since I don't have enough money I'm about to start a DIY project.
I think to go with the SB Acoustics Satori, maybe Jeff Bagby Adelphos.
I have lovely and affordable bookshelf of Elipson, French manufacturer, model 'Studio Pro'
I also have SVS SB2000 and Denon X2400H.
I sold my vinyl collection and phono (paid around 2.5K) in an impulse moment and now I use Tidal :duh

Hello Itamar and welcome to the forum. Have fun with your diy project. It’s a nice way to save money.
Do you plan on keeping the Studio Pro? I am curious what speakers you heard this last year.

Hi Itamar. I have Jeff Bagby Kairos. It is agreat speaker. If you have ability to make the angled cuts for the Kairos box you will be rewarded with time aligned drivers which allows simpler crossover circuits and flatter phase response than adelphos. It is one of the best 2way bookshelf speakers you can get.
Welcome to Audionervosa! I look forward to following you project if you will post your progress here

Sonus Faber - Cremona, Venere, Grand Piano, Olympica, Guareni Evo, Tower toy and maybe another one.
ProAc D20
B&W 803
Spendor current line
Harbeth
Focal current line
Morel Fat lady
DeVore Fidelity Gibbon 88
I guess Morel was most expensive but I'm not sure, maybe some of the Focal/Sonus.
I will keep the Studio Pro, they have Vifa XT25 and HDS woofer, really nice components and those busters got me into audio.
Rich - I hope to start the project and update soon :>
Thanks

Welcome Itamar, good to have you here. You may also look at GR research kits for speakers.

Welcome home to kindred spirits. You will find a lot of great people here.
Jeff Bagby: the man has single handedly contributed more to DIY speaker design than anyone else I can think of. His tireless work without trying to gouge anyone for $$$ is fresh in DIY audio.
I have known Jeff for almost 25 years and I am pleased to call him friend. He and his wife are wonderful people and thanks to a recent kidney transplant we will have him around for many, many more years.
His designs are always musical and well thought out. Good on you for having one of his projects on your plate!

The Adelphos kit has been purchased! :thumb:
I will catch up with process and my review on the speakers. I hope they can beat some of the speakers I listened recently.

Itamar,
Welcome to AN.
I have owned a pair of Adelphos speakers for geez, how long?...for about 4 years, I guess. They were so good (to my ears) that I sold my ProAc Response D2s, which had been my favorite two-way speakers until the Adelphos came along. I suspect you'll be very happy with your Adelphos. Give them a good 200 hours of burn in before forming your impressions of them.
I'll see if I can post a pic or two of my Adelphos to give you some encouragement.
Regards,
Michael

Nick - I purchased the bare bones from Meniscus.
Michael - great to hear another Adelphos happy owner
Rich - Thanks. I think I will trim gently the edges with trim router. Little chamfer edges. I have it on my current Elipson speakers.
Your edges looks more difficult to make.
I hope the kit will arrive this week and I will start DIYing.
