Title: A nice little improvement
Post by: dflee on January 11, 2017, 06:33:38 PM
Since working at home I've been sentenced to headphone duty through my lap top. Was using a 1/8th to 2/4 adapter and really did not like the sound. Got the Cardas adapter and it made an incredible improvement. Best $24 I've spent in a while. Anybody else try this adapter?

Hi

Was it this adapter?

If so I had so so results with it. I think the contacts at the laptop side got pinched impacting the sound.

Did you come up with something better?

Morning

Here is what I ended up using as my friend had an extra one to spare.

Much simpler for me. As for SQ it was hard for me to determine as the Cardas cable I had was problematic. Definitely easier to use for me.

One of those gold metal adapters came with my AKG 701. I've been happy with it, it's gold plated brass. But maybe I don't know what I'm missing? :thumb:

Funny how things work. Went the opposite way for me. Tho mine may not have been as good as the one you have.
