Cardas 2x24M Shielded Cable

Just a quick mention of the Cardas 2x24M cable available from Kevin @ DIYCable.com. I recently made up a pair of balanced IC's with this cable and it seems to be very nice indeed.

The cable is a twisted pair of 23.5ga litz wires that have a teflon insulation around them followed by a wrap of teflon tape, a full braided shield, a second layer of teflon tape and a second shield. This cable is also a delight to work with. It is fairly expensive at $9.42/ft in bulk but it sounds very good so far (no other balanced IC's to compare it with - yet), is extremely flexible and a joy to work with. I expect one could also make a superb pair of RCA terminated cables with this. I'll let you know. :D

Note I have no affiliation with DIY Cable, just a satisfied customer.

Yes, good stuff.

Kevin makes an interconnect out of the 4X24...and an excellent phono cable out of the 2X24. He calls it Exodus, I think.
