Yakov Kreizberg, immensely talented Russian conductor, died at age 50 a couple years ago.

Nice performance of this classic. I fell in love with the music when I heard the movement "Nimrod" as the closing theme of the season finale of Top Gear a couple years ago. LSO does it good.

Miles playing is close to his best in the early era, but far below the other players, Blakey and Heath. Heath sounds lot like Mobley?

Great session.

Bud - The greatest jazz musician ever?

I see your Bud and raise you John

Easily one of the most important records ever made, John Coltrane's A Love Supreme was his pinnacle studio outing that at once compiled all of his innovations from his past, spoke of his current deep spirituality, and also gave a glimpse into the next two and a half years

Breaking in a new set of tubes.

My wife loved this one when we heard it on the radio so I bought it for her. We listen to it all the time.
