OK guys, I found another one.   :yay2:

Tom Stoppard: Darkside

Darkside is a 2013 philosophical comedy radio drama written by Tom Stoppard, produced and directed by James Robinson and based on the themes and incorporating the music of Pink Floyd's 1973 progressive rock album The Dark Side of the Moon.

Busy weekend, so it is time to catch up on my listening posts. My wife got a new car last week so I spent a lot of time over the past few days in the garage, first changing out the radiator in my son's truck and then cleaning out and reorganizing things so there is room in there for her new car. So most of my music this last weekend was courtesy of the garage system.

Janis Ian: The Bottom Line Encore Collection

 Bottom Line CD

Great live show from 1980. Both the performance and the SQ are top rate.

If you have never see Janis play live I would highly recommend giving this one a listen.

Victoria's Secret - Passion & Pleasures Vol. 7: The London Symphony Orchestra Performs Franz Schubert

Victoria's Secret CD

OK, before you guys start to laugh, this series is a real hidden gem. Great performances by the London Symphony pressed on 24k gold CDs producing really nice SQ. And since most people toss them aside as promo junk you can routinely pick these out of the dollar bins.

I'm with you Tom...
My wife gave me a cassette of Volume 2 a few years ago (25.)  I listened to it a lot back then, when we were engaged but living on different coasts...  although I can't remember whether I liked it for the music, or for staying close to my long distance GF, probably both.

Classical Thunder II - The Time-Life Library of Classical Favorites

Time Life CD

Found Volumes I & II at the Crack House and just ordered Vol. 3 from ebay for $2.99. There is a Vol 4, but evidently it is very rare and I have not seen it anywhere for less than $50, that's not happening, it's nice, but not for those kind of numbers.

I will just put it on my watch list and pick it out of a dollar bin sooner or later.

But beware from what I can see there are quite a few other titles in this Classical Favorites series and so far the only ones I have seen that are made by Telarc are these Classical Thunder discs. While I have found that in general Time Life CDs are very well done, I cannot vouch for the rest of the collection.

Gee Rich, you were already collecting audiophile recordings way back then... and you didn't even know it.  :D
