Vanessa Fernandez - Use Me



One of the best sounding pieces of source material heard at the recent NYC Audio Show.

A 2 LP 45 RPM set from Groove Note Records.

From the Elusive Disc web site:

Tony Bennett - At Carnegie Hall



2 LP reissue from Chad Kassem and the folks at Analogue Productions, pressed at his own QRP record plant. Rated 10/11 for music and 11/11 for sound by Michael Fremer.

"This is it, the live, double LP where the magical Tony Bennett created indelible memories! Tony Bennett at Carnegie Hall is the Tony Bennett album to buy for any Bennett fan or those just introduced to his music. And you'll never hear or experience it presented in finer fashion than from this outstanding reissue by Analogue Productions and Quality Record Pressings!"

All that said, if you like Tony Bennett fan this is a must have, but if he is not your cup of tea, you might want to pass on this one.

This was a big score for me personally as my wife is a huge Tony Bennett fan. Mucho brownie points for me.  /  It was the first time in ages I was actually greeted with smiles because I brought new records into the house.

Arthur Fiedler/Boston Pops - Gershwin: An American In Paris / Rhapsody In Blue



This is the first of the new Analogue Productions Shaded Dog reissues that I have picked up and I have to say I am very impressed. Dead quiet with beautiful black backgrounds. The music and performances are of course top shelf and need not be discussed here. If there are any shaded dogs missing from your collection I would highly recommend Chad's releases. I think they even top the Classic Records releases and there are s a few Classic releases which I already have that I am considering upgrading to ones from this series.
