Sound dampening on amp lid

(1/2) > >>

I've already applied dynamat to my Sony media player's top cover, with good results. Wanted to try something that won't likely melt on the amp's lid. It rattle and rings.

Looking at Audio Additives 3M or Soundcoat.

Any suggestions? Herbie's Dampening Sheet?

Thanks!

Paul

Sorbothane is a very good visoelastomer for damping items.  It will adhere to surfaces.

Just a thought.

Let us how know how that turns out, Paul. My house has been rattling a bit breaking in my 12” subs. It can get quite annoying 🙄

Whoah! Maybe some sub isolators like a pad or feet? Don't know if that would reduce the sound quality and bass output, though.
