I've been playing them with the new VPI integrated 299D.  Music, sweet sweet music.

I have heard that amp on several occasions now. That is one nice piece.

Personally, I'd not mess with others' designs.

Andrew handled the whole situation pretty gentlemanly.
Cool sleepyguy, enjoy !!! To all danny is a very talented designer. He compares and listens to his designs and mods after extensive measurements.
I would like to hear a head to head comparison as well. My educated guess would be that Danny's version would be better.
We will never actually know until comparing directly.

He certainly did. I'll agree right off danny should have waited.

That VPI integrated is BEAUTIFUL. Glad tubes are working out with your ELAC Debut 6s. I'm finding with when I put my Jolida 502P with Tung Sol KT150 tubes into my system with the ELACs. I'm finding I have to up the gain on my preamp because it can't make the Debut 6s sing as much as the Class D Red Dragon Audio M1000s. The Jolida does eek out a little more detail and sparkle out of the highs in the ELACs.
