Title: using a laser to cut LP masters

Here’s a link to an interview that Michael Fremer did with Gunter Loibl on YouTube regarding using a laser to cut masters. The advantages are numerous and the master would be cut radially, but could also be cut tangentially as apparently 2% of turntables are linear trackers.
It’s 22 minutes, but well worth watching, especially if you’re an analog junkie. I haven’t followed up if the company received the necessary funding, ordered the 2 laser machines, etc.
