Being locked down has me thinking of some sort of change to the system. 300B Amps ? Cart ? Room Treatment ? Anyone else itching ?

Sadly, this sheltering hasn't really done anything for my disposable income :D
-
Well, I'm thinking of upgrading my DAC, and ordering the latest version of D Sachs Model 2 preamp.
-
Hey Rollo
I feel ya!
I've been listening more now than ever so yes I did get itchy.
Upgraded my LTA Microzotl MZ2 to the preamp which is essentially the MZ3 in a full size box .
Also picked up a pair of Tungsol black 6sn7s round plates for it.
Very happy. Money well spent

Hey Barry!
Hope your situation improves soon.
BTW, you look like a serial killer in that picture.

So, where did you hide the bodies, Barry?

LOL! Hey Emil, my situation isn't bad, just didn't really get any better ;) Everyone is home safe. I'm working from home, my daughter is teaching her 3rd graders via Zoom meetings, my son finishing up his sophomore year at Rutgers remotely, and my wife is keeping us all well fed and the house tidy :)
I hope all's well with you and yours!
And well, it was the first time I'd ever cut my own hair, here's the before pic :D

P.S. It's also the selfie thing, my daughter took the pic of me with hair, I took the other myself, and I seem to have to concentrate too hard when I take a selfie :D

Sorry fellas. Barry looks like the serial killer in the before picture not the after one.
Hope everyone is safe and well.

Great pic, Barry.
Actually, you look like The Punisher!

Since starting my own company a few years back I'm working out of the house predominately.
Have been stuck w/ using headphones and learning and spending a LOT. At first I thought I don't need
anything special but after five (#6 is on order) headphones and four dac amps am just about ready to
chuck the whole thing. Since sequestering I purchased a Mytrec Liberty and yes it did improve things quite
a bit but still need to turn it up to get nuances I know are in the recordings. Sooo, I have on order a pair
of expensive phones I'm hoping will fit the bill here and I can be done.
Don
ps: Barry does resemble the punisher dude.

Barry may look like one but IMHO is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He was kind and generous to me when we first met. A true Gentleman. Pretty darn smart as well.

Back to the itch. For me it is duplex outlets and power conditioning. The Gigawatt and Furutech line have changed my world. The NCF are a slice of Heaven. I was using VooDoo gold/copper which are excellent and priced fairly. The NCF though is King. Prefer the NCF Gold for digital and Rhodium for all else. Using two Gigawatt conditioners. One strictly for digital the other for analog. Using two dedicated 15A and 20A lines.
The Rhodium NCF is a Bear to break in however when there, 350 hours the end result, bliss. Highly recommended over any other available.
Gigawatt offers IMHO the best of the best in power conditioning. Not dry, thin or bright. Brings dynamics, focus and clarity without altering tonality. Harmonics get a boost with extended decay of notes. Measured performance not hype. Yes I am a Dealer of such.

Well Hope Barry got his hair cut. Anyway no itch yet ? Picked up some Cardas Myrtle wood blocks. Worked very well under the power supply for Lamm Ref. Preamp. The dedicated transport as well. Not expensive and provide less noise which equals more information had.
