Christmas Eve Fish Dinner

  A tradition for us "I" Talian kind of people.
Gonna need some Fish. Clams, Mussels, Scallops, Shrimp. Lobster and Squid. Well get some minced garlic, EVOO, Clam juice, tomato paste
1 can of tomato paste for 2 1/2 cups liquid. I mix Clam juice and water 50/50.
Heat EVOO in a large pot or Wok. Add EVOO minced garlic and lightly brown garlic. Add 1 can tomato paste, cook 2 minutes. Add Liquid and stir. Bring to a boil. Add clams mussels cover, cook 5 minutes. Add everything but Squid. Cook til clams open, add sliced Squid cook 3 minutes. Put over Linquini.
Season with Red pepper flakes. Get some crusty Italian bread and enjoy.  Oh forgot must be playing Frank Sinatra Dean and Bing Christmas music to make it official.

And..... NO CHEESE!

Try this instead,

  1) Take UN-seasoned breadcrumbs and add salt, pepper & garlic powder
  2) Heat up some EVOO in a frying pan/skillet & add your breadcrumbs in
  3) Stir them to get them all coated in oil
  4) Keep stirring to toast them to a golden brown (tan) > Don't go too dark or they'll taste burnt!
  5) Sprinkle over your pasta LIKE cheese
  6) ENJOY!

That's only 6 fishes: you need 7 for a traditional Christmas Eve feast (aka The Feast of the Seven Fishes)!   

I love what my family called "pasta Milanese", another traditional Christmas Eve dish.
Cook a pot of plain tomato sauce (without garlic & onions), after an hour add a can (or more depending) of Cuoco Con Sarde sauce (https://supermarketitaly.com/products/cuoco-pasta-con-sarde-14-5-oz?) and stir in for another half hour. Needs a long ridged pasta like Mafaldine.

   Silly me I forgot the Codfish. Bill that is right no cheese. We would have to kill you.

   What ???no one's cooking ? Make some chicken cutlets fry them in EVOO and put in a large oven baking sheet. Make Marsala sauce. Pour over cutlets put in 350D oven for 10 minutes. Make mashed potato and mangia !

Pasta and antipasta, wouldn't they cancel each other out. It makes the perfect diet meal.   No wonder you're so skinny.
