Scheherazade by Rimsky Korsakov. The first copy I find is Haitink on Phillips. I swear, only Haitink could emasculate such a swaggering piece. After the first side played, I put it up and pulled out a Stowkowski on London Phase 4 pressings. These are thick, overblown versions... exactly what I was in the mood for.
