A few days with QED and MIT
« on: June 21, 2014, 04:48:31 PM »
recently did a compare of my MIT Music Hose 750 vs QED genesis Silver cables (kindly lent to me by Bill C) The Misic Hose was more bass heavy, not necessarily better, but not bad either. However, with the QED the mids and highs were smoother and not as forward as on the MIT. Strange since my past experience with silver is that it is bright and forward. Now since the QED was thinner in the bass made it sound tilted towards the hi end but after a couple of days of using it my final assessment is that it was more neutral and flatter. I would say the QED was better overall. One thing I could do is use the MIT for the bass module and upgrade the cable for the mid/tweeter module.  Some cable on the list are Analysis plus and JPS.
