C-NET review...
http://www.cnet.com/news/rocket-scientist-converts-stereo-into-3d-sound/There is only one "dealer" (brother in law?) for all North American and Europe, AUDTEK Associates, located somewhere in NY/NJ. They are licensed to develop a retail BACCH product for audiophiles. They are Bryston dealers. Hmmmm....
The brochure says patent pending, so who knows how far along it is. Apparently the guy in hong kong has BACCH-SP installed his system now.
He says in his blog that the size of the sweet spot when using BACCH is inversely proportional to the distance between the L/R speakers. His speakers are relatively far apart by BACCH standards (far enough apart to put a 50" TV between them) which makes the BACCH sweet spot only 2" wide.
Never fear! Where there are Princeton professors and unlimited hobby money flowing from from young Hong Kong financial professionals, there is always a solution!
They used a device to track the position your your head, just like XBOX or playstation can track your movements in game play, and this allows the BACCH-SP to adjust the timing of the speaker signals in order to steer that 2" sweet spot to where your head is at any moment.
YessirreeBob! I want to see the funny hat the Prof is making him wear so the head tracker knows wear to beam the liquid ear sex.
