Sounds great. Correct me if I'm wrong, but these use a seperate subwoofer enclosure as seen next to the panels ?

Yes...an  8" 250 watt powered  sub per side. The subs in the video are the old style ,,the new version is cosmetically nicer. They are wrapped in grill cloth and have matching
wood veneer end caps like a Vandersteen model 2.
The subs are designed as a package with the main panels and are included in the $3,495 price.
They give the speakers a very dynamic, taut, and deep bass response....Greg
