Your Five Favorite “Pop” Tunes?

(1/2) > >>

James Edward:
I put pop in quotes because I wanted to keep this light; no classical ( though my most listened to genre).

I know this will change with moods, and five is really not enough- but I’ll begin…

Carpet Crawlers- Genesis
Theme From Shaft- Isaac Hayes
The Life Auction- Strawbs
Angelsea- Cat Stevens
Dogs- Pink Floyd

I’m interested in what moves other members- I know there’s so much out there that I’m not aware of, so please post a few if you’re up to it. Sound quality has nothing to play here- just what you like…
PS- Already I’ve got one more- ‘Me And You And A Dog Named Boo- Lobo
PPS- Five is definitely not enough, I know…

GDHAL:
Gimme five, I'm still alive. It ain't no luck, I learned to duck  :thumb:

Joni Mitchell - All I Want
Yes - Parallels
The Replacements - Androgynous
Grateful Dead - Picasso Moon
Dawes - Peace in the Valley

S Clark:
Line 'Em Up-  James Taylor
Graceland- Paul Simon
Church- Lyle Lovett
If I Ever Lose My Faith in You-  Sting
In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning- Frank Sinatra

But truth is, I seldom listen to pop.
and one guilty pleasure.... Africa- Toto

It's really interesting listening to what music speaks to people.
I find one song on the list to be great, one to be listenable, and three that I'd change the channel if they came on the radio.
So much variety in music.   It's a wonderful thing.

P.I.:
I've got too many to list!  50, maybe.  Five?  No way.
