In 2015, the recording was inducted into the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry for the song's "cultural, artistic and/or historical significance to American society and the nations audio legacy." Richard Bock was later Babs Streisand's producer. Recorded on single microphone, no mixer, at The Haig diner in Hollywood, May 30, 1953. The birthplace of West Coast Jazz.
