Could it be?????????  :-k

Ooooh! Nice find. I heard him play once, incredible chops. And such a nice guy too, and very good looking.

17yo, February 1983. There was 1000 copies printed at that plant in Phoenix before it close. Now reopened as Chad's plant iirc? Half of those went to Japan, and a good amount were promos gone to US radio stations and reviewers. The album hit #6 on jazz radio airplay chart and got 4 stars in Downbeat magazine from Boston based reviewer Fred Bouchard.

There is another album cut in 1985 with John Medeski and my brother. I'll send you one of those. I only have 3 sealed copies left of the 1st one.

I'm assuming, Rich, that you still play? If so, how much time do you have to devote to it?

Sweet.  I'd take a digital copy if the artist isn't going to get upset....

Found this on ebay a couple of weeks ago for a decent price. Saturday night auction and I was the only bidder. Great record.

Found it on Discogs. There are several other copies offered there and there was also one on eBay.

As for black market, I wouldn't do that to the artist, especially when he is good looking and a hell of a nice guy.

I have had a lot of good luck on Discogs. They have damn near anything you can think of and their prices tend to be much more reasonable than you would end up paying on eBay (I suspect because they avoid that bidding mania syndrome and people think with cooler heads and therefore end up paying a price that is more inline with what an album is like as a whole, not a benchmark based on what one single crazed buyer who just will not let go of the thought of not winning an auction ends up paying.
