Not your usual fodder Jerome   :thumb:

Just for that I also ordered:

She and Him - She and Him, Vol 1 (180g vinyl)
She and Him - She and Him, Vol 2 (180g vinyl)
Amy Winehouse - Lioness: Hidden Treasures
Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes

So there!

I guess I've been put in my place.  ;)

I also took a trip to the local Salvation Army Thrift Store.  This used to be a great source for vintage LPs years ago, and I would make a weekly pilgrimage there to snag my usual haul of black gold.

The quality of records you find there has declined in recent years.  You might have to sift through 100 or so Jerry Vale or Lawrence Welk LPs to find one keeper.  A lot of records too scratched up to be salvaged.

However, today I did pretty good.

These were 99 cents each (boxed sets are also 99 cents).  There are a few nice RCA Victor, Columbia 6 Eye, and Decca pressings here.  Some of them do not have inner sleeves but are otherwise unscratched and nice looking.  I'll pay a buck for that and take my chances.  :thumb:

Yup, that's the way it goes at the thrift shops. Many a time I have gone a month at the Crack House seeing nothing but records that look like their previous owners gave them to the cat to use as a scratching post and then all of a sudden I come across a whole collection that was donated by someone who took meticulous care of them and come away with 20 or 30 mint records.  :D

That one day makes all the rest worth while. Sometimes it's the thrill of the hunt as much as anything else.   [-o<

Is this a Direct to Disc LP from Crystal Clear Records?
