The Lenahan speakers were impressive. They are very attractive, with leather wrap around metallic gloss paint. It was very detailed and extended both ways, but still musical and engaging. Pete set up the vinyl and was picking the tunes, so of course I expected nothing less! Sibilance was a bit exagerrated on everything. Previous Lenahans I've heard didn't do that so I suspect something upstream. I definitely want to hear these speakers again!
I have heard the S2's and I can't say I noticed any sibilance issues. But what I have noticed with the completion stage is if you have source material that has any sibilance issues at all you get it with full force. I particularly noticed it on my goto test disk for sibilance - Ella and Louis. Louis's sibilance on that can be really bad. With the completion stage everything is more live and real but the sibilance is definitely more noticeable - not bad mind you - on other equipment it can get so bad with that disk you want to turn it off - its not like that - but you notice it.
I thought Charles mentioned he may have been taking the ML1's along as well. If he did did you or anyone get a chance to compare them. If so what did you think?
Thanks
Bill
