Title: AudioSyndrome Flea Market July 16th
Post by: rollo on April 29, 2011, 09:42:22 AM
We have a tentative date of Saturday July 16the at an American Legion Hall in Mass LI. Easily accessable by LIRR [ one block away] and by car.
We are including the local clubs Gotham, NY Audio Society and the Rave. Tables are available for $25 for club members and $40 for commercial vendors. Electric outlets are a plenty as well as an open kitchen for breakfeast or lunch.
A $5 dollar admission for all except vendors will be a 50/50 raffle. We are looking for commitments or interest now as the room must be reserved and paid for. All commercial vendors welcome as well as local Audio stores. Records and CDs too oh my !
Please email me if interested in a table. C'mon lets make this happen.

That same day July 16th, The Chapin Family is doing a free concert at Heckscher Park in Huntington Village.

HARRY CHAPIN: A CELEBRATION IN SONG will featuring Tom Chapin, Steve Chapin, Jen Chapin, The Chapin Sisters with John Wallace, Howard Fields, Jonathan Chapin, Clark Wallace, Stephan Crump, Jamie Fox, Jon Cobert and Michael Mark.

I saw one of these shows at The Tilles Center a few years back and it was really an upbeat celebration of Harry's life and music. I would highly recommend the show if it was a ticketed event, but for free it is a no-brainer. Perhaps we can make it an extended club day and head up to Huntington for a picnic dinner and the concert after we wrap up the Flea Market.

Talk to my son. He's been laying claim to all of my castoffs as of late.
