Hi everyone
I don't remember if there was a specific TWL speaker wire thread so I figure I'll add onto this one.
Pete hooked me up with TWL speaker wire jumpers as I don't have the funds for the full TWL wire treatment. I figure I'd add a little bit of luxury to my budget systems. I was toying around with my bi-wireable KEF Q300 speakers. I was trying Belden 5200UE cable for the lows and DH Labs T-14 speaker wire for the highs and on the other speaker I had Belden 5200UE cables going to the lows and the TWL speaker wire jumpers in place.
I have to say from switching the balance back and forth between both I could hear a profound difference. With the Belden/DH Labs combo music was just there and kind of blah. The Belden TWL combo there was more sparkle and crispness. I kept switching the balance back and forth for a couple of songs to make sure I wasn't crazy.
A lot of you may know that making adjustments to even speaker wire jumpers can make a difference in sound I'm hoping others can find this thread and just try the TWL jumpers. It may make a difference or it may not YMMV but for me I know I heard a difference in my system and I don't have the big $$$$ systems a lot of others have.
Thanks and log-in to see a pic of the TWL jumpers in place. The pic is large so you can see the build quality of the jumpers.
