Do NOT run thed syetm for consectutive days! Play it each day for a few hours at a time, twice daily.

I hope when it is all hooked  up correctly( don't forget to plug it in) that it sounds glorious.

If it doesn't...don't fret it probably needs a bunch of burn in

get a cheap cd player and run it in repeat mode for a few days, don't worry about the tubes...they need to be burned in as well.
turn it off for a few hours every day
Do it for a week! Sounds crazy but it will sound a lot better

Paul

I've heeded to Charles advice and have been running the system no longer than 5 hours at any one time. (I usually turn it on at night when I get home from work and turn it off at bedtime.)

On the weekend, I got to run 2 "cycles" (5 hours on/5 hours off) each day because I was home to do so.

Some was just running the FM tuner to just get signal through the system and other hours were actually listening.

Silence is not a good sign

any thoughts on how it sounds?
System consists of an amp a preamp, 2 speakers a turntable and a phono preamp, Also some cables and power cords and a really cheap cd player.

Thanks for your interest here.

I started a new thread with comments about BOTH the Dodd VGP Pre-amp and the NYAL Moscode 600 Amp, hoping it would help to simplify things.

I hope this new thread begins to answer a few questions for everyone.
