I hope when it is all hooked  up correctly( don't forget to plug it in) that it sounds glorious.

If it doesn't...don't fret it probably needs a bunch of burn in

get a cheap cd player and run it in repeat mode for a few days, don't worry about the tubes...they need to be burned in as well.
turn it off for a few hours every day
Do it for a week! Sounds crazy but it will sound a lot better
System consists of an amp a preamp, 2 speakers a turntable and a phono preamp, Also some cables and power cords and a really cheap cd player.

Looks cool Bill! They look well designed. The custom transistor mounting extrusion, huge power transformer, hum buster on the IEC. What are the big tubes?

Thanks, Rich!  I believe the big tubes are 6LU8's.  I wrote down what the full tube compliment is from when I talked to George Kaye, but don't know where I put my note! :duh

I hooked it up last night and it's sounding pretty good. (Thanks to Tmazz coming over to help.)  I'm sure I'll be in for a roller-coaster ride until the caps settle in, but there's unfortunately no escaping that evil break-in period. :(

Time will tell...

Maybe you should hook it up to Mike's Evolution speakers and break everything in together!

How many watts in that puppy? Are those huge blue things on the right back capacitors. They hold all the immediate power?

Wow. That is one sweet looking amp. It definitely looks like it was worth the 4 month wait. Also I've done what topround said for break-in. I've bought a Coby or Memorex CDP from Target etc and destroyed it letting it play non-stop to break-in equipment for weeks.

Yes.  Those power capacitors are MONSTROUS!  The amp is rated at 300WPC into 8ohms.
