Globe lamps.

(1/1)

Guy 13:
Hi all.
Some of you might know that I was distributor (Now retired) on planet Vietnam
for some well know professional photographic manufacturers
like Manfrotto, Bowens, B+W, LEE Filters and more
and for not so well know manufacturers like :
Daylite, Falcon Eyes, Farseeing and others that are active well know in Asia.
I bought from Falcon Eyes (Hong Kong) frosted platic globes for special effects
with 360 degrees coverage
and the Vietnamese photographers here didn't like it, too bad for them.
Soooo.... I still have unsold four (04) small ones and one (01) big one and I
decided to put them to use by using them as furniture lamps for living room or bedroom.
The big one I will keep in my office.
Soooo... Here are a few pictures of the start of my project.
More pictures to come when the project is completed.
I have to let dry the paint (Spray pait in can) so it will take
about a week.

Thanks Charles,
but I also consider myself an opportunist,
putting to use something that would otherwise gather dust.
My wife is good at that, I mean, she prefer to keep stuff gathering dust,
instead of throwing it away, she says :
One day we will be glad that we kept it.
That's why we have tons of stuff waiting for further use all over our house...
One day soon, we will have to decide what we keep and what we give of trash.
When back in Canada, we will be living in a smallone bedroom appartment
instead of a house the size of an hotel.

Guy 13:

Hi all.
At last, at long, long last....
My five (05) globe lamps are ready to glow and make a show.
I've drilled a hole on top of the globe to let some heat out, even if with a 16 watts
bulb it doesn't put much heat.
I have also a slot at the bottom, I've use some small gold nuts.
They are not perfect, especially the first and second one, I was more or less practicing.
I will keep the big one with the red rectangular switch and probably sell on Kijiji the other ones,
I'm sure I wont make any profit on them, if so, then I will keep them.
(Unless I am wrong, Kijiji belongs to e-Bay ? ? ? )

You are not alone with "stuff". Time to go thru what we have and have a yard sale.
