** AT WIFE'S REQUEST **

Tears For Fears
Brendan Byrne Arena
East Rutherford, NJ
February 18, 1990

Excellent soundboard recording. Lineage: SBD > master cassette > CDR > EAC > WAV > Editing (below) > FLAC Frontend > FLAC

Another stellar recording from "The RS Archives" - a Mexminute/TheCommish production

TheCommish notes:
Well, here we are with another Tears For Fears show from their 1990 tour.  The (Feb. 12, 1990) Cleveland show that was uploaded in Dec. 2008 proved to be OVERWHELMINGLY popular, so despite the fact that I'm not a TFF fan, I asked Mexminute to share this great-sounding show with you as well.

The setlist is similar to the Cleveland show but this one also includes a handful of extra songs (the "Women Of Ireland" intro, "Pale Shelter", "When The Saints Go Marching In" and "The Hurting").

The venue for this particular show was then known as the Brendan Byrne Arena, though locals commonly referred to it as the "Meadowlands Arena".  It later became known as the Continental Airlines arena before being renamed the Izod Center (its current name).

CD 1:
101. Women Of Ireland
102. I Believe (Oleta Adams)
103. Head Over Heels/Broken
104. Change
105. Pale Shelter
106. Woman In Chains
107. Advice For The Young At Heart
108. Mad World
109. The Working Hour

CD 2:
201. "intro to Famous Last Words"
202. Famous Last Words >
203. When The Saints Go Marching In
204. I've Got To Sing My Song (Oleta Adams)
205. Badman's Song
206. "band introductions"
207. Sowing The Seeds Of Love
208. All You Need Is Love
209. Everybody Wants To Rule The World
210. Year Of The Knife
211. Shout
212. The Hurting (incomplete - fades out)

Roland Orzabal - vocals, guitars
Curt Smith - vocals, bass
Adele Bertei - backing vocals
Biti Strauchn - backing vocals
Andrew Davis - keyboards
Carole Steele - percussion
Jimmy Copley - drums
William Gregory - saxaphone, keyboards

Peter Frampton - guitar, talk box, vocals
Adam Lester - guitar, vocals
Rob Arthur - keyboards, guitar, vocals
Steve Mackey - bass
Dan Wojciechowski - drums

Comments:

- Peter was helped on to the stage because he is now quite unsteady on his feet.  The effects of Inclusion-Body Myositis are gradually taking hold of his body.  He was seated for the whole of this performance , as were his band.
- Played as a tribute to Steve Marriott %
