Thanks to Mike and his artistic connections (Gabe), we have put together a shirt we think you'll be proud to wear. The shirt is a pre-shrunk high quality dyed cotton of very high quality. The below proof is just plain blue, and the final shirt will look much nicer.
[smg id=773]
Here's a close-up of the detailed artwork for the back (click to zoom):
[smg id=774]
These shirts require a $30 minimum donation including shipping in the US. i.e. You can send as much as you'd like, but there is a $30 minimum per shirt to cover costs and so we don't lose money. Additional shirts are $20 each per person.
Please reply here with the following:
1- How many T-shirts you would like
2- What SIZE or sizes
3- What color (dark blue or tan)
4- How you plan to send payment (paypal to donations@audionervosa.com) or check in the mail
(Paypal preferred, mainly for sake of organization)
For checks in the mail, email your order details to 'donations@audionervosa.com'... Include: your AN screen name, shipping address, quantity, size, color, and check amount.
Be sure to include your screen name when mailing a check so I can match it up.
Right now there are 2 options, dark blue and tan short sleeve. Mike is working with the designer on a tan shirt with black print option... I will see if we can get proofs..
In the Fall, we will offer a long sleeve T.
If you have questions feel free to ask via PM to myself or "mdconnelly"
Thanks,
Carl and Mike

FYI - The blue shirt Carl picked out is a Dunbrooke mineral and crystal washed tee and is very cool! The artwork will be in white on that shirt.
As Carl mentioned, We're also considering a light tan shirt with black artwork. If you're also interested in this light version of the shirt, let us know and we'll make it happen as well.
And, just to brag on the artist behind the shirt a bit... he's Gabriel Eng-Goetz and lives here in Durham NC. You can see his work here: http://www.porkfriedart.com/
-
I'll take mine in blue xxl
-
Is there a shot at either 2xl tall, or 3xl?
Great artwork, though the dog should be peeing on the hydrant.
-
I don't think that particular shirt comes in Tall, but I do think we can get a 3XL size.
-
Awesome design!! Nice job guys, and a big thank you!! People will enjoy looking at it and ask WTF is that?
I'll take one large in blue. The check's in the mail.
-
Hi Carl,
I just sent you a Paypal for 2 shirts.
XXL in Blue, Please.
Thanks, the design looks great and Happy 4th year Anniversary :thumb:
Kindest Regards,
Bill
-
I got it, Bill! And yes, it is the 4th anniversary! :)
And Evan, you are accounted for, thank you.
-Carl

FYI, once we reach about 20 shirts ordered, the production starts and shipping will happen... These are hand-made... all custom everything, one at a time. I haven't asked for a donation in years... so, consider this a donation drive where you get a free shirt.
If a large group (ahem, NYAR) orders a large order and distributes everything locally, make it all 1 big order and you get the 30/20 pricing for the whole group. I leave it to Mike to do the same for the NC group.
We're going to need more than a half a dozen shirts to make the minimum order.... So, please consider a donation to get this thing going.
Imagine yourself in this shirt:

Yes.
-
Well, if you find you can do a 3xl, I'll send paypal for a blue one.
I don't think that particular shirt comes in Tall, but I do think we can get a 3XL size.
-
Cool, that shirt is made in 3X, no problem! :)
Here's the details: http://www.accinfo.com/catalog/search/?category=A&mill=36&style=PFDTT

Are the muscles and attitude included? That's what I really need...

As Carl said, I'll be glad to coordinate a local 'group' buy if you are willing to either pick the shirt up from me or attend a G2G here to get it (i.e. in lieu of shipping). I'll donate the first $30 so that will make it 1 shirt for each $20 donated for the local crowd. If you're in the RTP, NC area (or will be), post a message here stating number, color and size of shirts, indicate you're part of the RTP group, & send Carl (donations@audionervosa.com) the $$ and info. When the shirts are ready, I'll be in touch!
But let me just put in a plug for Carl... the intent is to raise donations to support Audio Nervosa. The shirts are just a great incentive to do so! :thumb:
-
So if I order two would that be $50.? Or does that $20. for the second only kick in if the final order meets a minimum?
I am looking at XL, one of each colour.
-
Count me in then;
1- How many T-shirts you would like - 1
2- What SIZE or sizes- 3xl
3- What color (dark blue or tan) - dark blue
4- How you plan to send payment (paypal to donations@audionervosa.com) or check in the mail
(Paypal preferred, mainly for sake of organization) - paypal

That would be $50. We'll get to the minimum one way or another! Just paypal and email to donations@audionervosa.com and include shipping info.
-
Just paid for 5 blue shirts...
If you use PayPal, you may want to send the payment as a Personal Gift, to minimize the PayPal fees that our great AN website has to pay...
My $0.02,
Pete
-
Thanks, good idea, Pete. AN is run from my personal funds. So, a gift is completely legit.
Also, thanks for the compliment, Chris. I think you'll like the final product. :)

Just paid for 5 blue shirts...
The Long Island boys are covered (literally).

I just sent $120.00 as a gift and asked for five Tee's three blue and two tan if possible.i still have my four original AN tee's and they are still in pretty good shape :thumb:

Carl or Mike, have we met the minimum order yet to get these printed? or raised enough $$ to break even yet?
Really looking forward to wearing both of mine.
Rob S.
-
I just tallied it up and we're over 20 shirts.. so yes, this is an official go. I am going to place the first order on Monday and then hand over the fulfillment to Mike. If there is enough interest, we can certainly do another batch.
THANK YOU everyone!!!!
For those that didn't send a mailing address, Mike will be in touch.
If you get your orders in this weekend, you'll make the first batch.
-Carl
-
Make mine a Med Blue one.
Paypal has already been sent.
Thanks,
Tom
-
Payment sent for two Tee's: 1 ea. color. XL
Sent as gift.
Thanks guys.
-
In for 2, 1 in each color.
-
Any orders received and paid for by this Sunday night (May 15th) will make it in the order. Just for purposes of cross-reference, please send your order to donations@audionervosa.com and post here that you sent it. We'll take care of the rest!
We will probably print up a few more in the first run so missing the deadline doesn't necessarily mean you missed out. Just ask! And we can always do another run if there is sufficient interest! I'm definitely hoping for a long-sleeve run in the fall.
-
Finally getting time to do this .

The shirts we're looking at are adult but I think the adult small would be comparable to a boy's large. Also, be sure to indicate color (blue or tan) on the order.
-
payment sent to paypal for 4 shirts 1 large (blue), 2 medium (one of each color), one small maybe make that xtra small (blue)

Don't worry, at his age he will grow into it (and out of it) before you know it.

Just want to say how much I appreciate how cooperative everyone has been with this T-shirt donation drive.
There were many special notes of appreciation, well wishes, and good intentions sent along with the donations that were really wonderful to hear. Thank you.
This 'first run' order is about 38 45 shirts. :) The orders have been handed over to Mike/mdconnelly to complete. Any questions or concerns about the orders need to go to Mike.
Update: The order has been placed with the printer. It will likely be a few weeks before anyone receives their shirts... I greatly appreciate your patience.
Thanks again,
Carl and Mike
-
Quick update... the shirts are in the printing process... shouldn't be too long before you can wear your own... Start planning your G2G's now!

Shirts look fantastic!!

The tans ones picked up more detail in the photos.. Always a learning process on shirt creation... FYI... We will continue to refine and keep moving forward with more in the future...

Is it just the photos, or do the actual shirts differ that much in quality image-wise? The graphics on tan shirts look much better than the blue. The blue shirts artwork looks like it spread and lost it's focus.
Of course, I ordered blue! :duh
-
The difference in the pictures is primarily in my (in)ability to take pictures with my phone   I'll take another picture tonight with a better camera and post it.
Trust me, the blue shirts look a lot better than the picture implies. And, while I really like the blue shirts (lightweight and very nice look/feel), I think Carl is right that the artwork has a bit better detail on the khaki shirts.
But, to put it all in perspective, both my wife and daughter prefer the blue.

Don't make yourself crazy, Mike. It's just me with my graphic arts and printing background, to go with my obsession over things being perfect in this imperfect world we live in! LOL.
I'm sure the shirts look just fine. So what if I can't wear mine as my "Sunday, go to meeting" attire!
-
This is indeed a 'Sunday, go to meeting' shirt. We aren't asking $30 so you can get some corporate/swag-level shirt.. no. We will all see them soon enough... and I'm sure they're great. I love the way they look and look forward to wearing both colors. :)

"Sunday, go to meeting" = best dress up clothes
I had to look it up... :-P

If my memory serves me correctly, I picked up the terminology in some old John Wayne western!

Although, I'm sure there'll be more than a few of my audiophile buddies that will see this post and go right ahead and accuse me of being old enough to know of the saying firsthand! :duh

All depends on what the meeting is for, right? I mean, who says you can't have an audio G2G on Sunday

Shirts are in the mail! Smaller orders shipped this morning and rest will go out tomorrow morning.
For those local, let's coordinate. Unfortunately, I'm out of pocket this coming weekend, but maybe we can work something out in the next couple weeks? A small G2G for shirt swapping, beer drinking and general carousing is in order soon! But if you're in a hurry and find yourself in Durham, let me know and we'll work it out asap.
-
All shirts (except locals) have been shipped - USPS First Class or Priority. If you don't have yours within a week, please let me know. Any issues with sizes, let me know as well. I will say that the tan shirts seemed to be sized a bit larger than the blue shirts (e.g. a tan 3XL was definitely bigger than the blue 3XL). Hopefully it's all good!
-
My shirts came today (one blue and one tan). I think they both look terrific. :thumb:
Thanks for the shirts and for hosting this great community.

Got mine today
Thanks
-
Thanks Mike....arrived today in fine shape...nice !! :thumb:

Mine arrived today as well. The picture of the blue shirts may not have come out to well, but the shrits thenselves look great in person. Thanks to everyone involved. :thumb:
-
Hey Mike,
I received the 5 AN T-Shirts today. They look & feel great! Real nice cotton shirts!
Thanks again,
Pete
-
Got my 2 today, I was looking forward to the blue, but the graphics seem to have more 'snap' on the tan.
-
Thanks for all the great feedback! We do have a couple extra Large and XLarge in each color so if anyone missed out, let me know. As Carl has said, we'll probably do a long-sleeve run in the fall.
As a shameless plug for the guy who did the artwork, Gabe has spun off a little business found here: http://runawayclothes.com (http://runawayclothes.com)
and doing quite well for Durham and local biz!
-
Got my pair today...the blue XL looks smaller than the tan one...figured its a Pakistan vs. India thing, with India winning out on 'better quality'.
Thanks guys, good job. :thumb:

Yup, tan fits me well, blue a tad snug......... odd.
-
I think the blue is probably a more athletic cut.
Disclaimer: AN is not a shirt shop, just an audio forum that liked the pretty color and hoped for the best when ordering from a photo in a catalog...
-
I think the blue is probably a more athletic cut.
Yeah ... especially for those wearing the XXXL's :pop

You guys are really making me want to see photos of the shirts in use... I hope they get worn at the next G2G but if anyone wants to post some action shots, I'd love to see them. :)
-
Considering how many were 2 and 3xl, doubt you'll get much 'action'.
How about sitting with a fav. beverage and enjoying the music?

llike this?

FYI, wash those dark blue shirts by themselves or with other really dark clothes first.. wow, that's some dark blue water!
Thanks for the tip, Mike!
-
Thanks for the warning... Does the artwork ink stay white?
I am gluing speakers together now, so hopefully we can have a g2g in a couple weeks to get shirts and smoke audio crack.
-
The artwork of both color shirts holds up perfectly, but as Carl said (and I learned the hard way :duh, wash the blue ones separately. The blue runneth over.
-
Yes, it's still bright white, no problem there..
-
Steve, Ken, Rich - I've got your shirts! If you find yourself in Durham or RTP and want to pick them up, just drop me an email and we'll arrange it or send me your address and I'll drop them in the mail. Of last (and best!) resort, we just need to schedule a G2G soon!
And we still have a few extras if anyone is interested! Carl is already cooking up some ideas for a fall printing!
-
FYI, wash those dark blue shirts by themselves or with other really dark clothes first.. wow, that's some dark blue water!
Thanks for the tip, Mike!
The shirts look like they are the same color as a new pair of Levi's jeans and they run like hell to the first time through the wash. Wonder if it is the same type of dye.
When I was in college I wore a brand new pair of jeans on a trip to Six Flags. It was a warm day so we ended up spending a good amount of time riding the log flume ride to get wet and cool off. When I got home and changed out of the clothes I was wearing my entire body was blue from the waist down. #-o
It took several days and about a dozen showers to get my skin back to a normal color
So so not only do you need to wash then separately from everything else, I would also recommend not wearing them before they are washed , especially if it is a hot sweaty day.
-
Did any shirts get ordered in infant sizes? We don't want Luke, Son of Carlman to feel left out.
-
Did any shirts get ordered in infant sizes? We don't want Luke, Son of Carlman to feel left out.
Well, we already know that the color on the blue shirt runs... maybe we'll find out next that the tan ones shrink when you wash them! :duh If so, little Luke will have a whole wardrobe of AN shirts!
Just kidding. Please don't be offended by my "off-color" remarks or "shrinking" political correctness!
Seriously, everyone involved with making these shirts happen deserves kudos! :thumb:

Wow! Talk about "shrinking" political correctness!
-
Ha... I understand the razzing, it's tough to pull it off with computer-typing... but I get it!
When Mike dropped off my tee's yesterday, I was very pleased with the quality and style. It worked out perfectly. I also realize there is no way to please everyone. What!? Really!?
It got me thinking about the next run, though.... what if everyone sent me a shirt that was either very dark or very light to have the same logo printed? I could just provide a due-date and address... You ship them, they get printed, and shipped back... Done deal! The cost is shipping and printing... and since we covered all the setup costs already, it shouldn't be too much to do this. So, after some time passes, we'll do this again, likely with that option.
And yes, Luke is covered! I picked up a few dark blue clearance items at Target of various sizes so he can grow into them. He's covered for now, this Fall and next Spring. :) Of course, he only wears an 'outfit' for about 10 minutes sometimes.. I'll post photos in the Luke thread after we change him...

What's left for sizes? I've been juuuuuuuuust a wee bit busy lately. So I missed the initial ordering process... I could always use some more shirts and help contribute to the cause....
-
Shane - good to hear from you! You're an old married man now, right?!?
We've got a large and Xlarge left in each color. Say the word and they're earmarked for you!
-
Mike,
Yup, got married, did the honeymoon, finally got around to becoming a US citizen (started that process before wedding and took the oath last week when we got back from Italy), we sold her old house the weekend of the wedding, and tonight we're starting the process of cutting over to completely new architecture for work. 70 new production servers, all new 64 bit OS versions, new Database versions, actually every version of software changed, latest .NET framework, newest version of Team Foundation Server, newest Visual Studio... everyone in the division was affected in some way or another and it's been over a year of me trying to coordinate and corral everyone. I'll be ever so glad when we finish flipping the switch. It's been a crazy past couple months :)
I appreciate the offer... but I doubt my fatty self will fit into something that small.... I'm usually a 2X minimum.... to fit in the shoulders of course :)
-
Congrats on your citizenship, Shane.
-
Yes, indeed, congratulations on your citizenship! That is very important and quite an accomplishment.
I wish that native born US citizens had as much knowledge of our government, its history and operation as naturalized citizens are required to know. I wonder how many native born citizens could answer all 100 questions with a "C" or better. Woefully few, I imagine.
-
Oh, and congrats on getting married, too!
-
Congrats on all of it! When you decide to make things happen, you don't mess around! :thumb: :thumb:

He'll have to grow into the smallest shirt I could find... but here's our latest (and youngest) member!

Awwwwww
That's cute!

Luke may have the T-shirt, but I've yet to see a relevant post from him.

I'm sure that when we talk about ceiling fans he'll chime in.

Oh, I'm sure he's left quite a few relevant posts around the house (and likely in that AN onesy) Just not here yet
-
Carl, I just ran across this thread. Are there any size L shirts left?
-
Good question... I will check.. I might have an XL.. the blue ones ran a little small so, that might work better than you think.. but I'll check regardless... If you haven't heard from me in a few days, feel free to PM me.
-
YGPM.
I just stumbled upon this thread as well and I'd like an XL T-shirt as well. Please let me know and I'll get the funds out to you ASAP.
-
I looked in the first few places I thought they'd be and they weren't there... I'm going to check a couple more.
I might have to sell the shirt off my back ;)
